I'm gonna make these...even if it kills me!

So my 13 year old Drama Queen daughter wants a pair of leg warmers. And I know, in my last post, I said I can't craft. BUT...I am going to try anyhow! I am going to make her some leg warmers even if it kills me!

I found a cute tutorial and I got an old funky, stripey sweater (my bff's grandmothers to be exact) and was going to start my project when the daughter saw the sweater and claimed it! So...I will be going to the thrift shop tomorrow to find another old funky sweater and I WILL do this! I think I can, I think I can! I will let you know how it goes in the next post...hopefully :)

Can't craft, don't ask me....And OMFG I love Pinterest!

I am very sad to say that I am not much of a crafter. People are always so homemade/Martha Stewart/June Cleaverish and I am just not. I mean come on, who has the frigging time for one thing?

Of course my kids and I cut paper snow flakes to decorate in the winter and do some gluing and glittering of objects when the mood strikes, but I am not a real "crafter" by any means. I am one of the people who look at something and think "wow, I can't wait to do that!" and then I check out the instructions and think Uh-uh not going to happen. I feel like a craft failure when it comes to craft fairs and shows. I look around and think of all the things people are selling and then get excited, go home, search it up and fail miserably once I hit the instructions. It's not a good situation to be in let me tell you. While all these artsy fartsy people are crafting away, I am sitting there in awe and a little depressed.

But...I have found Pinterest! And my hopes have been reborn! I friggin love this site...no, I am IN LOVE with this site! I love, love, love to be in love with it! I am so addicted that I spend hours looking through the crafty ideas and the home decorating and...and...droooool. The recipes are to die for and since I love cooking and eating what I cook, I am in Heaven every time I go there. The only draw back of the whole site, that I have found is there is no stopping it. You can just keep going and going and then it's 3 a.m. and I have to get up to get the kids ready for school at 7! Yikes! But if you do like to craft and do like to cook, it is a greaat place to check out. Just keep an eye on the time, because you might think it's still Thursday when you log out but in reality it is probably more like Sunday morning. :)
